The quarterfinals, semifinals and championship matches of the NCAA men's and women's team tournaments will air live on ESPN+.

The matches shall be regulation dual matches. Three doubles matches consisting of six-game sets will be played for one team point, followed by six singles matches, each valued at one team point; played the best of three sets.

The number of Division 2 tennis colleges providing men's programs totals 167. Like D1, the D2 tennis colleges are allotted a maximum of 4.5 scholarships by the NCAA guidelines. Men's tennis is an equivalency sport, and it is very rare for one student-athlete to be awarded a full scholarship.

Student-athletes are allowed five years of eligibility and athletically related financial aid. All Division I student-athletes must earn at least six credit hours each term to be eligible for the following term and must meet minimum grade-point average requirements related to the school's GPA standards for graduation.

In 1977, the NCAA began a dual-match single-elimination team tournament with 16 schools to determine the team championship. Subsequently, expanded to include byes for 12 teams in the first round, the team tournament adopted its current 64-team single-elimination format in 1999.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men's and women's varsity tennis at all levels – NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College.

When you include the First Four Play-In Games, there are a total of 67 games played. For office pools such as the NCAA Squares Pool and the March Madness Bracket Pool, most folks exclude the First Four games, which leaves a total of 63 games played in the main 6 rounds of the tournament.
