I am trying to log in to my att.com account where I can manage my wireless, internet, and DirecTV accounts. When I enter my username and password at att.com/myatt it redirects me to DirecTV where I'm told I can't manage my account and to please log on at att.com. So I click the link to att.com and sign in and it redirects me to DirecTV where I'm told I can't manage my account and to please log on at att.com. Truly this has been going on for years. I'll occasionally reach out for help or look here in the forums but it's never resolved and I eventually give up. It's been a while since my last attempt so I thought I'd give it another shot today.

We're here to help with your login concerns, @enagel33.
To start, based off of the information provided, it sounds like you may be trying to sign in using the incorrect User ID, which is why the website keeps bouncing you back and forth. We recommend making sure your User ID is properly linked to your accounts.
Assuming that your accounts and ID are properly linked, then you can also try to troubleshoot the issue. Doing so may help with getting you logged in and restoring access to your account online.
Let us know if the information helps!

I was at least able to log in to my ATT account, but unable to link the other account. I got this message:
Sorry, but we can't combine e***@****l.com with your first ID, yet. We're adding more accounts you can combine into a single ID, so please try that ID again later.
It'll do for now.

Think the issue is saved passwords sometimes. Because if I go to sign into directv that has a different password than ATT, it automatically inserts ATT info, and att recognizes you exist with them and take it for granted they must say they will login you in with them and next time login using att for directv. I had a horrible time eons ago when I changed my passwords for att and directv. They actually did loop. And then would say login failed if I changed att and then tried to login to directv. So changed directv and then att would fail. Eventually somebody corrected it on their end. Even login to directv app I have to say don’t use my provider because they will use att. I open passwords and find directv and use that. It is on att’s end that things are like this. Not surprised there are those still being caught up with att loop because they own directv now. Should have kept directv as a stand alone login and not offer login to att like they do for landline, internet, and cell phone. Those have never been an issue. Best to know your directv login and assure att isn’t hijacking the login and making it frustrating. It’s not the user trying to sign in with wrong information. I have to force my way past att logging in where it’s not wanted and will make things wrong or worse. Best to not mange direct via att and att not to keep popping up to manage it. Hbo Max app as well I have to assure a correct login and that can be frustrating too. As Roku grabs directv and I need to login with att.

My suggestion is to stay away from linking accounts.

I did stay away from linking Directv. I was fighting that from not happening. Changing one acct changed the non-linked one too. And then later it would say wrong password for changed one. It was confusing. You can not link and still be caught up in the mess bc att has you sign in at att for Directv. And if att password automatically inserted att prompts you to pretty much link. Saying from now on can use att login for Directv. It’s on att’s end causing the issue. They should have left peoples Directv acct login alone and separate.

that number might still be viable. Att or Directv help once finally gave me this number. I forget the title of those who could handle the loop. But one did fix it. And yes it wasn’t my looping it. Att triggered it when I had to change passwords with att and Directv bc my acct got locked to protect me with att. Changed password for it. Then Directv I went to change. Login attempt to att. Failed. Bc now it was what I gave Directv. And change att then Directv failed bc same as att. But only ONCE allowed into acct. Bc later fail. It was confusing. And wasn’t easy finding somebody who could help.

Thanks. I am caught in loop. Frankly I would love to dump ATT and Direct TV altogether but the only internet connection alternative at my house is comcast.

I am stuck in the endless loop as well. How ATT screwed this up so badly is beyond me.
